There’s a welcome bank holiday weekend coming up, the last chance for a mini-break before the run up to Christmas starts in earnest.
One thing you will want to do this year is to make sure you’re on top of your shipping – eBay Defects will be measured as of tomorrow so resist the temptation to take an extra day off and make sure you ship everything that you can on Friday and that all the weekends orders go out on Tuesday.
Check with your couriers on their Bank Holiday arrangements – it should make little difference to you, but for any urgent orders Post Offices will be open on Saturday and some couriers will be delivering over the weekend even if they’re not open for collections.
For those that use myHermes we’ve got their opening times for courier collections, deliveries and ParcelShop opening days for the Bank Holiday weekend shown above.

eBay Shop holiday settings on from Thursday lunchtime till Friday Evening, as we always get one wanting express delivery on a Friday & unhappy when it turns up on Tuesday
I will be interested in the DSR’s – Defects for those that sell overseas.
As I had said previously, our statistics had shown that we had not dispatched as per ebay policies and we had worked out that it was due to the Easter bank holiday and although ebay.co.uk recognise it, Ebay.com does not. (Not sure about all the other sites).
Will this LATE dispatch mean a defect on our account??
