The Facebook “Dislike” button

Facebook dislike buttonIf there’s one thing I’ve always thought Facebook was lacking it’s a “Dislike” button. Today I discovered it exists, although it doesn’t publicly display as the “Like” button does. However Facebook will learn from your dislikes and (hopefully) stop showing you things you object to.

To get the dislike button all you need do is click on the time stamp of the offending post and then, when clicking the down arrow (top right corner), rather than the “I don’t want to see this” option you get a more emphatic “I don’t like this post” option.

I don’t go on Facebook much, but I’ll be using the dislike button now and then until Facebook stop showing me the things I’d rather not see and who knows, it might tempt me to log on more frequently.

Of course this post will doubtless have a load of people wondering how on earth I didn’t know the dislike button existed…. but if you like the dislike button hop over to Facebook and like this post.
