ParcelHub is one of a new breed of courier consolidators, rather than simply offer you a set rate to send a parcel they either collect daily from you or you can send you parcels to them to be despatched.
Since their launch in 2010, Parcelhub has operated from Colwick in Nottingham, providing both on- and off-site collections and forwarding through an ever increasing range of mainstream carriers. Now due to an ever increasing demand from businesses they have expanded adding two new locations – Dinnington, South Yorkshire and Coventry, West Midlands.
Parcelhub supplies every client with free carrier software integration, a unique selling point that has helped the company go from strength to strength. Additional services include multiple-courier web based tracking, proactive email and SMS notifications, integration with eBay and Amazon and a single monthly invoice.
It’s always good to see companies growing, especially when they’re creating new jobs. ParcelHub expect to add another 26 employees in their new locations in addition to the 60 employees in Nottingham.
If you’re interested in saving money on your shipping, whether you have 10 parcels per day or 1000, you can contact ParcelHub through their website. If you’re local to Colwick, Dinnington or Coventry it’s a solution you should definitely consider as then you can arrange a daily collection.

I’m all for cheaper shipping but at what cost?
The issue with consolidation is that it adds an extra stage to the shipping flow and therefore may take longer.
With buyers expecting fast delivery, and eBay penalising sellers who fail to meet buyers expectations, I can see a consolodated service being a problem and for the few pence saved it may not worth it.
I view shipping as something that must not exceed 3 days from collection. Buyers expect as much. Can ParcelHub save money and still deliver within three days? I havn’t tried them so I would be interested to hear about the experience of others.
