eBay’s mobile usage is around 50% and growing fast, in the run up to Christmas we’d expect it to easily top 60% so it’s not surprising that we’ve had a lot of Tamebay readers asking how they can get a responsive eBay listing template. Today we’ve got a promotion for you to do just that.
Responsive design aims to provide an optimal viewing experience with easy reading and navigation with minimal scrolling across a wide range of devices including smartphones, tablets and desktop computer monitors.
The guys at We Are Pentagon offer a full service management solution to some of the biggest names in retail and as part of their service have the ability to offer standalone responsive eBay template solution. Today they’re offering the first 50 Tamebay readers to apply a fully responsive eBay template to a design for just £99.00 (normal price still a bargain at £199.99).
The offer is open for one week only and the responsive functionality can be added to an existing design template as well as a newly created one. To take advantage of this special promo offer you’ll need to email [email protected], mention promo code tamebay14 and share a link to your eBay store and of course don’t forget to include your contact details.
The images on this page are for The Ratchet Shop’s eBay template designed by Pentagon, you can see the mobile view to the right and the desktop view below. You can view the aff_link("https://stores.ebay.co.uk/theratchetshop","The Ratchet Shop","","UK"); ?> eBay shop online, other examples of Pentagon design are aff_link("https://stores.ebay.co.uk/youmedicalshop","You Medical","","UK"); ?> and one of their managed customrs, aff_link("https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/annsummerslimited/m.html","Ann Summers","","UK"); ?>. You can also view a demo of Pentagon’s responsive eBay template design functionality and how it works for both mobile and tablet on the Pentagon website.
In order for the functionality to render correctly you will need to follow a process for listing items with your listing template so that the functionality applies consistently to each listing. Obviously for merchants who use third party software tools such as eSellerPro, Linnworks, Channel Advisor, BrightPearl, Neteven, Magento M2E Pro Plug for eBay, and other such tools to list their items there is consistency in listing process. However, even if you list manually Pentagon’s solution will work for you so long as you list items using same template and process every time.
Pentagon can also customise and implement mobile responsive functionality for eBay storefronts.
Because the work is bespoke each time and Pentagon have to assess the storefront they will add the functionality to you would need to contact them for time frames for storefront delivery and costs.
For eBay listing templates we think the £99 fixed price offer for Tamebay readers is a great price. If you would like to take advantage of this special time-limited offer from Pentagon, get in touch with them today.

There are too many expensive descriptions templates out there that just show a white screen on mobile or end up scrolling and zooming forever one way or the other and they still can’t be seen. I’m surprised how many people don’t check their listings on mobile and then complain that people don’t read the descriptions, more often than not it’s because they can’t see it.
This adaptive template has been seamless in both the design, implementation and operation.
If you are going to do one thing before Christmas this year this has to be it!
Did any one check this template? How it renders in different browsers. Does it align? Does it throw up extra scroll bars? Does it function properly in android devices/iphones etc.
How does this work if you just list manually?
You don’t have to keep copying html code do you?
I have made contact with them. They called back quite quickly however this seems very misleading. The £99 promotion they have told me only covers adding the mobile functionality to any existing template you have in place. It doesn’t include an actually responsive template design. For that they want £598.
Was quite excited by it but not so much anymore.
Hi Craig,
We are offering to make your listing template fully responsive on mobile devices. We are not able to create a new design for your existing template and then make it responsive for £99.
Given a responsive experience is much more likely to convert shoppers into buyers, we think £99 is a very attractive offer for merchants, especially in the run up to the peak Christmas period.
Hey there. We’ve been using widgetchimp.com because we didn’t want to fork out £99. It has a control panel that lets you modify all your listings from one place to look exactly how you want them to. It’s so easy to use and the support is great. It resizes the layout for any size mobile or tablet so our customers always get a good experience. It costs £10 a month and worth every penny!
So 10 months = £100?: I guess a question would be what future support would you get for the Pentagon £99 offer in this fast moving ever advancing mobile world? ios9 + android fudgemallow6.5 and the yet to be announced Apple super ultra HD mobile screen and so on?
Frooition charge £500 to add this feature to current template design so this sounds pretty well priced. Widget chimp is good and i use that too but, this template offer seems to display on iphone without any left or right movement at all where as with my widget chimp template, you still need to zoom and move left and right a little. Maybe I just have it set wrong
It’s a good price. However,I have been testing if fancy templates Are positively correlated to sales & so far I have failed. I’d like to find out if anyone has found so.
I’ve given them a go and have now set up an ad template successfully with their help. I have to say it’s one of the best responsive templates I’ve seen so far, so we are delighted with their product.
