We’ve been getting comments/emails all morning from Tamebay readers unable to edit their listings or post new listings onto eBay. We know this is only affecting some users as when we tested earlier we were able to create a new listings, but that doesn’t make it any the less frustrating for those affected.
The good news is that it’s a very specific glitch, that is to say it isn’t interrupting the main function of the site – buying and selling transactions are taking place. eBay have told us it should be fixed shortly with the following statement:
“Following routine maintenance some customers may notice some interruption to editing or finalising new listings. Buying and selling on eBay continues as normal, and this technical issue will be resolved within the next hour or two. eBay appreciates your patience and apologises for any inconvenience caused“.

yep we are just all sat here looking at our screen. Cant not list or amend.
great fun watching the busy uploading arrow spinning round for hours at a time lol
Five hours without being able to list. 5 staff listing so that £175 in wages. At least the office looks a little cleaner
This is getting quite silly now – we have lots of multi variations that need amending – the options are
1. Leave on and oversell them,
2. End the whole listing even through its only one size/ colour that needs changing..
A request – would it be possible to timestamp future ebay responder messages to give “next hour or two” some meaning?
any one seen or heard from Tanya Lawler (Vice President of eBay in the UK)? Strange she’s so quiet considering…Another week, another glitch, haven’t been able to list all day.
haha!! “some customers may notice some interruption to editing or finalising new listings” you mean the ones that are left on this sinking ship then, not those that have alrady legged it
Can’t list anything, it’s Christmas ffs. Cone on Ebay, remove your finger.
Try checking if you have a new cookie message. I had one pop up earlier and once I accepted it the site was back to normal – it may just have been coincidence though.
If you are still having problems, CLEAR YOUR BROWSER CACHE INCLUDING THE COOKIES. This fixes the problem!
And it’s happening again… Anyone else?
