Thanks to the various Tamebay readers who have sent this in: between the 8th and 21st of December invited Business Sellers will be able to make up to 50k listings for free. Needless to say Ts and Cs apply.
You can find full details on this page.
But here’s the skinny: “Create up to 50,000 listing(s) (with a starting price of £0.99 or more), during the promotion period, in an eligible category using the fixed price format on eBay.co.uk and you will not pay an insertion fee per listing (promotional rate) during the promotion period when you actively opt in to the promotion via the RSVP link shown in the marketing communication.”
If you have been invited, there should be a message in your eBay My Messages. have you been asked to take part?

They did this last month too someone posted a link to it in the ebay discussion boards.
I clicked on the link, and opted in.
Never received the email – but was allowed thousands of free listings.
Anyone got the link in the email they received?
Do many sellers use these promotions? I certainly don’t wait for them before listing as the insertion fee is minimal compared to the cost of the commission.
I’ve been invited but not sure if I’ll be bothering to do much extra work, having just read about the “Secret Selling Limits”.
