Doddle have added International deliveries to the domestic services available from their 30 railway station locations.
They say that sending a parcel couldn’t be easier – simply take it into their store (unsealed so that they can help you complete the customs declaration) and they’ll take care of the rest. International delivery costs with Doddle start at £11.02 depending on parcel size/weight and the destination. Whilst they have a full rate card for domestic UK deliveries on their website, they’re a little vague on the cost of International deliveries so you won’t know the cost for certain until you arrive in their store.
On the plus side you don’t have to worry too much about packaging, which could be a benefit for casual consumers who don’t have stacks of cardboard boxes and acres of bubble wrap to hand. Every Doddle store offers mailing sacks for free and boxes and bubble wrap for additional cost.
The real limitation of Doddle at the moment is the limited number of locations they service. On the plus side they are of course sited at some of the busiest mainline stations in the country meaning the passing footfall of millions of potential customers every day is already pretty large. We’re looking forward to Doddle rolling out more locations in 2015.
