CATEGORY: Amazon News

Amazon’s Prime Now service has been extended to Dallas, Texas in the United States.

Prime Now is a service that delivers a selection of domestic goods to locations in select areas within 2 hours. 1 hour delivery attracts a $7.99 charge but 2 hour delivery is free to Amazon Prime subscribers. Orders can only be made through the Prime Now app and a limited inventory is available.

“We know Dallas members are going to love the convenience of one-hour delivery through Prime Now,” said Dave Clark, Amazon’s senior vice president of worldwide operations. “Our existing operations in Dallas-area that utilize advanced technology to fulfill customer orders are now home to a Prime Now hub that is fueling this super-fast delivery.”

Apparently Amazon has opened two fulfillment centers in the Dallas area, creating more than 1,500 full-time jobs locally, in the past few years

Prime Now is available in quite a few US locations aside from Dallas, namely: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Baltimore and Miami.
