Sealed Air IRegg vs Royal Mail challenge

No primary category set

Sealed Air LogoEvery seller of fragile items will have had the inevitable unwelcome phone call from a buyer saying “It just arrived but it’s broken”. Sealed Air reckon they can safely package just about anything and they test their packaging with everything, even an uncooked egg!

This week at Internet Retailing Expo, visitors to Sealed Air’s stand (G41) will be challenged to Will It Break Live – a test of strength against the might of Sealed Air’s protective packaging. To be named a Will it Break Live Champion, contenders will need to break an egg encased within Sealed Air’s Instapak Simple® foam-in-bag packaging.

Professor Packaging, Sealed Air’s mascot who fronted the Will it Break video series, will also be in attendance encouraging people to take the challenge and attempting it himself. Here’s there last Will it Break from November:

Will it Break – Sealed Air Egg vs Royal Mail Challenge

IRegg ChallengeHere at Tamebay HQ we thought we’d take the Will it Break Live out into the real world. We challenged Sealed Air pit their packaging against the might of the Royal Mail delivery service.

On the 25th while we’re at IRX we’ll be watching Sealed Air pack an egg and then we’re going to stick my address on it and drop it off at the nearest Post Office.

The question is what will I receive when it arrives 100 miles south (probably a 200 mile trip as it’ll be going via multiple Royal Mail sorting offices and delivery offices en route). Will I be able to enjoy a boiled egg breakfast or Will it Break?

  1. For a bigger challenge can you try sending an egg by Yodel as well- they seem to be one of the worst courier companies for taking care of parcels.

There should be a collect-plus store that you can use to drop off the parcel (print the label out before you go to the exhibition).
