At the time of sourcing this product was available to buy for just £9.99 from the Early Learning Centre and was selling for £24.95 meaning a fantastic 94% ROI. The sales rank was 4047 in baby products putting it in the top 0.6% of the category. The CamelCamelCamel.com graph shows a great sales performance over the last few years. The price on Amazon has dropped by a couple of pounds at the time of writing but with such a high margin there was plenty of room to allow for this and with such a rapid seller it often pays to wait for others to sell out and the price to rise again.

With a sales rank of 10,891 this product was in the top 0.46% of toys and games. Looking at CamelCamelCamel.com there was a peak in sales over Christmas which has dropped slightly but there are still highly consistent sales. It’s a well-known and well-loved brand that has stood the test of time and there’s no reason for that change now. A quick check of the current FBA sellers shows they have very little stock left meaning you wouldn’t have too long to wait to win the buy box without undercutting them.

The sales rank was 109,693 in electronics, electronics is such a huge category it puts this in the top 1%. According to CamelCamelCamel.com this is actually fairly low for the product looking at the 6 month average. Although it’s also clear that sales for this product are not particularly consistent or reliable. With such a great profit margin it might be worth buying a few units but it’s certainly not one to buy in large quantities unless you are prepared to potentially store them for some time.

The sales rank at time of sourcing was 5639 in beauty putting it in the top 0.7% of beauty. A quick look at CamelCamelCamel.com shows this is quite high for the product but it does look like a highly consistent seller. Beauty is a restricted category so this would have been a great opportunity for anyone looking to get approval, as this currently has no FBA sellers there’s plenty of room for an FBA seller to win the buy box maybe even with a slightly higher selling price. The only thing to double check with products like this one if you are planning to use FBA is whether the product is considered hazmat. In this case there are no issues but it’s always worth checking the ingredients of beauty products.

Not only did this product show a nice margin but the sales rank at the time was 2068 in toys and games, putting this in the top 0.09% of products within the category. A quick check of CamelCamelCamel.com for this shows a reasonable consistency for the sales rank making this look like a sure seller. The only downside to this opportunity is the number of FBA sellers on the listing. If you wanted to add to this listing you would either have to be able to undercut the list of sellers significantly or be willing to wait for them to sell out if you can’t win the buy box. You may or may not know that it is possible to share the buy box with other sellers, your sales won’t be as frequent as if you had the buy box all to yourself but on the Amazon marketplace it’s very difficult to completely avoid sharing with other sellers all of the time.
