Are you eligible for a government Connection Voucher?

No primary category set

You might be eligible for a £3000 government grant to help your business take advantage of improved internet connections.

To find out more and check your eligibility visit the Connection Vouchers website here.

There are 50 “super-connected cities” where SMEs can apply. To name but a few: Exeter, Brighton and Hove, Birmingham, Coventry, Newcastle, Belfast, Glasgow and Swansea. The full list is here. (With the Welsh cities listed as being in Scotland just to make it very clear.)

Here’s what they say:

What is the Connection Voucher Scheme?
The Government has committed £40 million for the SuperConnected Cities programme, which is managed by Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK), a unit within the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
From 1st April 2015 the Chancellor announced that the Government will make up to £40m available to March 2016 to support more cities. Connection Vouchers will be made available on a first come, first served basis.

How can it help your business?
If your business is located in one of 50 SuperConnected Cities, you can claim up to £3,000 to help with equipment and installation cost for a new or upgraded internet connection.

You can use this to flood your building with WiFi, or with some products it can be used to lower your monthly internet bills. Check that your city is included or leave your details above, then review the company eligibility criteria. Make sure you secure your £3,000 before they run out.”

Let us know if you take advantage of the scheme and how it works out!
