eBay Power 30 Index via Voucher Codes

No primary category set

There have been a few reports in the press lately based on some data from Terapeak, showing the top retailers in the UK and how much business they do.

Voucher Codes has pulled all this information together into an infographic, showing not just the top retailers but also the top locations in the UK for eBay sellers, the top brands, and some of the hottest selling products on eBay.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the most common type of seller in the index is electrical goods – accounting for seven.

But four of the best sellers are fishing shops, with motoring related sellers claiming another four premier spots and fancy dress vendors taking three.

  1. no doubt HMRC will send them all a letter informing them that selling online may attract tax LOL

  2. I don’t know where they get these figures from they are totally wrong. We should be on this list in the top 10 and we’re not. I would take everything you read on this report with a pinch of salt!

  3. Very surprised with this. Our company does around 1M per month but doesn’t feature on here. We do not sell in the above categories, our main target market is the home and garden sector.

  4. Some of the numbers look fantastic, but how many of these sellers are busy fools?

It is fine turning over 1 million a month if you are making a sensible profit, but if you are making a couple of percent profit is it worth it?

I know that there will be sensible businesses that read tamebay and make good/reasonable money on high turnover, but there are crazy people out there willing to trade as if they are a charity, good luck to them if that is what they want to do.

  5. These are monthly sales and we are talking profit.

    2% profit on £1,477,644 is £29,552.

If £29,552 is not enough profit per month to get you out of bed, what is?

The more you turnover, the less margin you need per sale, economies of scale and all that.

  6. Yeah this is utter rubbish. We should be on top 10 as well. Very misleading report
