The Sussex and Surrey Police Cyber Crime unit will be exploring online safety issues at an event on 2nd September as part of the Brighton Digital Festival.

As the blurb notes: “If you are also looking for advice on cyber security, how to report crimes and how you can safeguard your IT equipment, the team will be able to answer any questions. This introduction will be followed by two presentations:

– A live hack from BAE Security Consultant, Gareth Evans.

– Ciaran Kenny, from Macnamara (creators of the Government-backed Cyber Essentials framework), will provide practical, low-cost advice on how to keep you and your business safe online.”
