You too could soon make money delivering Amazon parcels with the launch of Amazon Flex in the US. We’ve written about the idea before but there’s a bit more detail about with the US launch.
The Uber-style enterprise is starting out in Amazon hometown of Seattle and says that, as of Tuesday, you can start earning “$18-25 per hour” by delivering Amazon Prime Now parcels using your own car.
As they say on the Amazon Flex page: “You can choose any available 2, 4, and 8 hour blocks of time to work the same day, or set availability for up to 12 hours per day for the future. You can work as much or as little as you want.”
They’re calling it “Amazon Flex” and it is anticipated that it will launch elsewhere in the US in big Amazon Prime Now markets like New York, Dallas, Chicago, Miami, Baltimore, Austin, Indianapolis, Portland, and Atlanta. And doubtless it could well be coming our way too soon, here in the Uk and we’ll keep ’em peeled for developments.
On face value it sounds like a decent offering. And could be a good way for cabbies or current couriers to further monetise their activities. Would you do it?
