new mobile apps

eBay is billing it as “eBay 4.0” and it’s one part of a series of announcements coming out of San Jose related to the 20th Birthday events this week: eBay has launched new mobile buying apps.

I haven’t had much of a chance to try them out yet so can’t speak to the improvements. But if you have, tell us all what you think. These are buyer apps too, so not necessarily immediately relevant to sellers.

In a blog post by RJ Pittman, Chief Product Officer at eBay says of the new apps: “Today, I’m excited to announce that eBay has released a major update to our experience, starting with new apps for iOS and Android, eBay 4.0. This update features a more browsable design with easy access to top deals, promotions and events, balanced with streamlined ways to access the powerful eBay features you’ve come to rely on. eBay 4.0 is a more customized, personalized and simplified way for our customers to browse, shop and sell.”
