Everyone deserves their 15 minutes of fame and that’s pretty much what Dan Callaghan got, as the first candidate to be fired on the 2015 series of The Apprentice.
Dan probably has got over it by now though, having been fired in October, in reality the filming was earlier in the year so now he’s back running his perfume and beauty products business, which the 23 year old has been selling since he was 18.
Having started from his bedroom in the family home, he now has ten employees, and an annual turnover of over £1 million. That takes a bit of doing, especially after losing £54,000 last year and almost bankrupting the family, but now Dan uses Linnworks to run his business.
Dan explains that he found it difficult to find the right IT people to design a bespoke system that could cope with selling his range of products on multiple online marketplaces across Europe, “So we turned to Linnworks, and it’s now the most important piece of technology in our arsenal”.
It’s the first working day of the new year for many people, so if you don’t have a solution in place now is the time to start considering what software you need to streamline your business for 2016. If you’re looking for a multichannel management solution for your business, you could do worse than copy Dan and use Linnworks, although alternatives are also available.
