ChannelAdvisor posted their latest annual results last week and have joined the rarefied group of software as a service (SAAS) companies with revenues exceeding 100 million dollars a year.
With annual revenues running at $100.6 million for the year, they saw an 18% increased compared with total revenue of $84.9 million in 2014. What’s of more interest to ChannelAdvisor clients is that this was due to increased orders processed for their customers – ChannelAdvisor processed $6.8 billion in total gross merchandise value in 2015, an increase of 19% from 2014.
ChannelAdvisor now have 2,898, with an average annual revenue from each customer up 10% to $34,513 from $31,400 at the end of 2014. Which ever way you cut and dice the numbers, ChannelAdvisor users are seeing their businesses grow and ChannelAdvisor are growing with them.
Profits (or losses depending whether you look at GAAP or EBITDA) are up (or down). ChannelAdvisor had some one off expenses this year including moving to their new Head Office and when you take them out of the equation the company saw a profit – some $1.4 million EBITDA compared to a $19.5 million loss in 2014.
ChannelAdvisor CEO, David Spitz told Tamebay “Our revenue growth, coupled with operational efficiency, yielded substantial improvements to our profitability and cash flow in 2015, and I was very pleased with our results as they exceeded our expectations. I believe this positions us well for continued growth in the service of our clients.”
