eRated have just raised $1.7 million in seed round funding to enable them to grow their online reputation service.
eRated allows retailers to import all their history and reputation the marketplaces and social sites they’re active on and display them in one place. They have plugins to allow the retailer to then display their combined online reputation the sites they trade on.
We caught up with eRated Co-Founder, Dan Benjamin, to ask him what difference the seed funding will make
What are you going to do with the money?
The money that we have recently raised will allow us to further develop and improve our plugin for online sellers within marketplaces and their own personal shops. Moreover we will continue our expansion into additional marketplaces to help more sellers gain benefit from cross marketplace reputation. We hope in time that sellers will get better terms in new marketplaces based on their track record in other websites.
What are your expansion plans?
We recently launched our Shopify widget which gives users the choice of Free, Premium and Pro plans. Having already given users the opportunity to consolidate their identities from over 40 marketplaces and social networks, including eBay, Amazon, Etsy and WooCommerce, we are just at the beginning of our continued growth and vision for further integrations with all the top eCommerce platforms. We are excited to provide users with a widget they are really happy to use.
How will you monitise the platform?
eRated already has premium plugins for sellers to use at their own personal stores. We launched the plugin approx. 2 months ago and are already live in approx. 500 shopify/wordpress/woo-commerce stores. Moreover, eRated provides insights to marketplaces to help maximise the potential and life-time-value of their new and existing sellers.
