Doug Gurr is the new boss of Amazon UK

No primary category set

Dugg Gurr AmazonAmazon have named Doug Gurr as the new country manger for Amazon UK. Doug was formerly country manager for China and replaces Chris North, who ditched his Amazon stint to become CEO of Shutterfly.

Doug has been with Amazon for five years and previously served at Asda’s Executive development director. Doubtless his previous experience at Asda will stand him in good stead as Amazon expand their Amazon Pantry service.

As well as stocking Pantry products themselves, Amazon have also recently partnered with Morrisons who will provide a wholesale supply service to Amazon. Amazon’s customers will gain access to a wide range of Morrisons ambient, fresh and frozen products.

  1. Lets hope he has the balls to sort out the VAT evasion/non-compliance by some 3rd party Amazon sellers.
