eBay are extending their parts compatibility feature to include motorcycle and scooter parts listings.
You’ll be able to specify which motorcycles and scooters your parts are compatible with the aim of more sales for you and making it easier for buyers to find exactly what they’re looking for.
Parts compatibility will be available for motorcycle parts listings kicks in in April and for Scooter listings it’s coming mid May. It’s worth noting that there are separate lists for Vehicle Parts (MVL) and Motorcycle & Scooter Parts (MML).
While eBay say that “Adding motorcycle parts compatibility to your listings can result in higher search rankings, better conversion rates and fewer return requests”, they’re not making it mandatory. However if you don’t use Parts Compatibility, as soon as I enter the model of my motorcycle or scooter I’ll never see your items. I think this is one of those compulsory optional tasks that has to be done no matter how time consuming.
