There are just two months left until the 29th of July 2016 to get your free upgrade to Windows 10 if you’re still running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 devices.
Why should you upgrade? Well the chances are extremely high that Windows 10 is compatible with your computer or laptop, it’ll probably run faster, it’s the current version of Windows. For Microsoft the advantage is that they don’t want to support your old operating system any more and want to close the books on it early. After the 31st October this year you won’t even be able to buy a computer with Windows 7 Professional installed on it.
Officially Windows 7 will be supported until the 14th of January 14, 2020, and Windows 8.1 will be supported until the 10th of January 2023. However if you’re a later model computer running on the latest chips support for all operating systems other than Windows 10 will be dropped on the 17th July 2017.
So there are plenty of reasons to upgrade now and few not to upgrade, unless you’ve a specific aversion to Windows 10. It’s much more like XP than Windows 7 and especially Windows 8/8.1.
If you want to upgrade you can download Windows 10 from the Microsoft site. If you don’t want to upgrade I’d love to know the reasons why not.

The aversion would be Windows 10 is a climb down from Windows 8 which they were forced to do to keep any customers. Problem is it still keeps all the windows 8 dross.
Microsoft is another mismanaged mess on its way to the scrap heap along with eBay.
