Amazon have launched a new version of their shipping settings and you should see a message reading “The new version of Shipping Settings is available now” in the Shipping Settings section of Amazon Seller Central.
The new settings allow you to set your own shipping transit times and offer faster delivery options (Next Day or Two Day) for the UK, France and Germany. You can also set international transit times and shipping charges for the countries you wish to ship to.
A major improvement is the ability to set different shipping settings for different sets of SKUs. If you’ve got one set of products which are a doddle to pick and drop in a jiffy bag but others which you might prefer an extra day to pick, pack ship and deliver, you can now do so.
One of the big issues with Amazon is that you still have to set one rate for the whole of the UK. This can cause issues particularly for heavy or valuable items – some couriers charge more to delivery to some of the furthest flung corners of the UK and you can’t surcharge these areas. The large heavy items are also just the type of product you probably wouldn’t want to put into Fulfilment by Amazon and make it their problem to delivery as the charges would be too high.
Still, although Amazon’s shipping settings still aren’t as flexible as we might like to see, the added options are still welcome.

Been waiting ages for this! Unfortunately no such message yet for us in our Seller Central account!
As you mentioned, still no way of excluding areas on Amazon, unlike on eBay.
We sell white goods on Amazon, and as our courier can’t deliver to islands and highlands, we get a defect every time we need to cancel an order.
Can anyone suggest a courier who can do white goods deliveries to all corners of the country and not charge more than the cost of the appliance? We’re based in Manchester if that helps.
I have just migrated. Love it! Will make life so much easier. Go into your Seller Central Settings and go to Shipping Settings. There should be a button in a purple box at the top of the page called Migrate. Follow the wizard.
