Tamebay Ecommerce Cup managed by Genie and the Geek
Tuesday 12th July – Kick off 5pm BST
On Tuesday the 12th we’ll be over at Wembley along with the cream of UK Ecommerce for the annual five a side football Ecommerce Cup which as always is ably managed by the guys at Genie and the Geek. Kick off is at 5pm, all the teams are already signed up, but spectators are always welcome.
You’ll find me somewhere on the touch line (safely behind the wire mesh fencing) taking photos of the team, keeping score and generally available to chat to anyone and everyone. If you’re not too puffed from the matches (or aren’t playing) come and say “Hi”, or catch me in the bar after the cup presentation ceremony.
Webinar: The future of ecommerce
Wednesday 13th July – 2pm BST
Wednesday is a special Tamebay webinar looking at the future of ecommerce. In partnership with GS1, the global standards for product identifiers, we’re going to be looking at how marketplaces have developed to the present day, how we predict they’ll evolve in the future and what steps you can take to future proof your business and take full advantage of the latest technologies.
The webinar takes place on Wednesday the 13th of July at 2pm. You’ll need to reserve a place so sign up today to make sure you don’t miss out. Naturally there’ll be time at the end for questions or for your comments to be heard.
Next Week… Home & Gift Buyers Festival
Harrogate, Sunday 17th – Wednesday 20th July
Next week I’ll be heading up to Harrogate to the biggest Home & Gift show in the North of England. If you trade in the gift categories or supply home related products there’ll be over 850 exhibitors, 250 of which are featured for the first time, all with unique products your customers are bound to fall in love with.
I’ll be presenting twice at Home & Gift, once to retailers extolling the benefits of marketplaces and a second time giving some unique insights to manufacturers and wholesalers looking at whether marketplaces should be embraced or avoided at all costs with some ideas of how to work with marketplaces without upsetting the retailers you supply.
