Tamebay are off to Wembley tonight for the Tamebay Ecommerce Cup managed as always by the guys and girls from Genie and the Geek.
The Cup arrived this morning and is currently residing on my kitchen table until I drive up to Wembley with it this afternoon. This year it’s a magnificent trophy and as always was supplied and engraved by our friends at Trophies 247 who have been loyal supporters of the Tamebay Cup since it’s inception five years ago. They’ve also provided winners and runners up medals to be presented this evening.
For the first time ever, Tamebay are fielding a team in the Ecommerce Cup. Don’t worry, Dan and myself are far too unfit to run around a field, but we’ve a team of youngsters who are slightly fitter from the office. Since we became part of the Internet Retailing family we now have more than two people working on Tamebay so wish us luck, although to be honest I’m about as confident of success as if we had the England team from the Euros playing for us.
If you’re free this evening and not playing in the Cup, you’re very welcome to come down, cheer on your favourite ecommerce partners and socialise in the bar after the games. Kick off is at 5pm at Wembley Goals, Alperton Lane.
We will of course be announcing the winners tomorrow along with team photos and the results of the group matches, as well as the quarter, semi and final games.
