Amazon flood the UK with Music Unlimited

amazon-music-unlimited-featAmazon are flooding the UK with media in an effort to sign subscribers to their Prime service, the latest offering is Amazon Music Unlimited as an additional subscription service to compete with Spotify.

Combined with natural language voice control powered by Amazon Alexa, Amazon Music Unlimited has over
40 million songs available with thousands of hand-curated playlists and personalised stations to top it off.

Amazon Music Unlimited is now available in the UK at the breakthrough price of £7.99/month or £79/year for Prime members and a couple of quid more at £9.99/month for non-Prime customers. There is also an exclusive “for Echo” subscription plan is available for only £3.99/month for a single Amazon Echo device with full access to Amazon Music Unlimited.

Alexa voice controls turn your Echo into the ultimate personalised jukebox with voice commands to search and play your favourite tunes. You don’t even have to know the title or artist, you can quote a lyric and Alexa will find the track or ask for music from a particular decade, genre or artist and Alexa will create a playlist on the fly for you.

Prices are a little bit higher than in the US where costs are $7.99, $9.99 or $3.99 compared to £7.99, £9.99 and £3.99. We’re used to American companies simply replacing the dollar sign with a pound sign though so it probably won’t deter people from signing up.

Amazon Music Unlimited is available on many devices including Echo, Fire devices, iOS, Android, Web, PC, Mac, and Sonos.
