Post Office strike – no impact on Royal Mail

No primary category set

Royal Mail will be operating as normal next week when the CWU union says its members in the Post Office will take industrial action. They said today “We expect there to be no or little impact our parcels or letters operations. The Post Office has confirmed as well that it expects its 11,000 branches to continue operating as normal. Customers who need to post at a Post Office should use these branches“.

The only impact you may see is if you’re trying to post items at one of the few Post Offices impacted by action or if your customers order products with Local Collect.

Local Collect offers convenient delivery to a Post Office branch that is close to the customer and is available at 10,500 Post Office branches across the UK. It saves the inevitable long queues you’d expect at the local Royal Mail Delivery Office at this time of year and Post Offices often have longer opening hours.
