eBay France free listing SNAFU

No primary category set

The year hadn’t even started before the guys at eBay France ran into trouble. eBay are running a promotion for French private sellers giving unlimited free insertion fees for all fixed price and auction format listings (of any duration). The promotion runs from the 1st of January through to the 28th of February.

Unfortunately on the 31st December they suddenly realised that there was no mechanism in place to give the fee credits meaning that private sellers will still be charged the insertion fees. eBay recommend in the mean time to stick to your regular limit (on eBay France) of 50 free insertion fees a month.

eBay are looking for a solution to the problem and realistically most casual sellers won’t be listing more than 50 items a month anyway – it’s unlikely you received that many unwanted Christmas presents you want to sell. We do of course have every confidence that if you’re a casual seller on eBay France and have incurred listing fees which should have been free under the promotion that eBay will give you your money back… we just don’t know when.
