In what could be one of the easiest and quickest ways to shop for goods, Amazon Prime Now, the within-two-hours window delivery service on selected goods in selected area, will now be coming to Alexa (Amazon’s voice activated assistant.) Previously Amazon Prime Now Prime Now was only available via the app.
By using voice commands, you can use Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Tap, Fire Tablet and Fire TV to shop via Prime Now. You just need to mutter the magic words: “Alexa, order [widget x] from Prime Now.” Alexa will then consult the Prime Now products and make a recommendation. Then all you need to do is confirm the order.
Currently Prime Now is available in parts of London, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester and Liverpool
Assaf Ronen, vice president of voice shopping at Amazon says: “Bringing Prime Now to Alexa voice shopping combines two of the most innovative shopping technologies available for an experience that our customers are going to wonder how they ever lived without.”
