On the opening day of ChannelAdvisor Catalyst Americas, CEO David Spitz announced a raft of platform announcements designed to propel ChannelAdvisors business forward in new directions. They are focusing on ways retailers and branded manufacturers can improve logistics, optimize for shopper product searches, predict consumer needs and promote relevant products.
Wholesale and Drop ship support
ChannelAdvisor updates will support merchants partnering with Amazon, Jet.com, and Overstock in a wholesale or drop ship capacity. This is significant as previously ChannelAdvisor customers were typically retailers, this change is aimed squarely at attracting brands and manufacturers who want to sell direct on marketplaces and is a bit of a game changer for the company. It opens the doors to a totally new set of customers who want to retain control of their product and sell in bulk.
“For 16 years, we’ve supported brands and retailers that wanted to sell on marketplaces as third-party sellers. With our added support for first party and dropship, we’re covering the entire spectrum of sales available on retail sites, simplifying e-commerce for our customers and helping them save time, money and effort.”

ChannelAdvisor Fulfillment Network
A new ChannelAdvisor Fulfillment Network will support integrations with shipping label providers and fulfillment carriers including Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime, Fedex, UPS and Stamps.com for USPS.
These integrations will help sellers get rate quotes, purchase and print shipping labels and barcode scan for quick order access directly from the ChannelAdvisor platform. In addition to these native integrations, the ChannelAdvisor Fulfillment Network will offer access to dozens of third-party logistics providers, freight forwarders and software solutions, to help simplify and economize e-commerce operations for customers.
Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime support is key, larger merchants who can meet Amazon’s standards want to retain control of their inventory so that they can sell through other venues. Seller Fulfilled Prime enables them to do this.
Product Content Optimization
ChannelAdvisor announced a new Product Content Optimization feature, which syndicates valuable product data across multiple retailers, ad networks, and other destinations. ChannelAdvisor will offer support for content management, optimization and delivery to help customize product content for optimal performance on channels such as Google, Facebook, Amazon and Instagram.
New marketplaces
ChannelAdvisor announced support for more marketplace around the world, notably Tanga, Overstock, Pricefalls and Tophatter. ChannelAdvisor now supports 90 marketplaces worldwide.
