On-demand logistics startup Cubyn have announced a partnership with Rakuten’s PriceMinister in France giving 5,000 merchants the ability to tap into Cubyn’s on-demand logistics platform.
Cubyn are almost unique amongst logistics solutions in that once you start using them you’ll never have to pack another parcel. They collect the items you’ve sold direct from your warehouse, take them away, package them and ship them all within one day. Plus due to scale they can offer discounts on normal courier rates and ship globally.
The service that Cubyn offer is a cross between self fulfilling orders and outsourcing to a third party fulfilment house. The difference is that you retain control of your stock, but don’t have to order and store packaging, have a packing table, worry about courier contracts and labels – all you need to do is pick your orders and order a Cubyn collection and they’ll be knocking on your warehouse door within a scheduled two hour window. Naturally you’ll have access to full tracking for your order.

The company has seen 300% growth year on year between 2015 and 2016. Cubyn processed well over 200,000 shipments in 2016, with an exponential peak in December 2016, where the business shipped more items in a two week period than over the entire course of 2015, proving its readiness for growth, and its ability to absorb high levels of requests.
The PriceMinister partnership lays the foundation for Cubyn’s internationalization to new markets in Europe and globally, with a UK launch planned within the next 6 months.

This is what we called first mile logistics. Shyp (https://www.shyp.com/) is doing the same in the US and Wing (https://www.wing.eu/en) in both France and UK !
I have been using Wing in the UK lately and they are doing an amazing job ! Never heard about Cubin yet as I think they are only in Paris. Will see …
