If you are a seller, it’s seriously worth considering securing your Amazon account with two factor authentication. This means that even if your Amazon password is hacked, cracked or stolen, your account will remain secure.
Securing your account also isn’t a bad idea even if you only buy on Amazon.
How to enable two factor authentication on Amazon
- Log into your Amazon account
- Click the “Your Account” link in the toolbar
- Under “Account Settings” select “Login & Security Settings”
- Under “Advanced Security Settings” click “Edit”
You will need a mobile phone that can receive voice or text messages. You can also set up an authenticator app to generate codes even when you don’t have mobile service, ideal if your mobile signal is weak or you are regularly in areas with poor or non-existent mobile coverage.

That would be great if Seller central did not drop you so often. We start packing and then find you have to sign in again.
