A final reminder that if you haven’t removed any active content from listings before the 7th of June 2017 eBay will simply block it.
This isn’t news (apart from the exact date is now known to be the 7th of June). Hopefully you’ve already eradicated active content from your listings, but if you haven’t done so by the deadline then that part of your eBay listing description will simply cease to function. This means parts of your listing will be blocked and won’t display – that could be important information, images that you’ve hosted rather than using the eBay Gallery or perhaps less important things like a custom category sidebar.
eBay won’t actively penalise you if you still have active content but, if it impacts your feedback or buyers simply can’t see the listing description, you could quickly find yourself dropping down best match rankings. Even if the pertinent information is visible, if your listing design is totally borked it won’t create a good impression. Don’t forget that Best Match is heavily influenced by recent sales – a drop in sales will lower your visibility creating even fewer sales in a spiralling vicious circle.

I don’t know if it is just me but all our dsktop devices are no longer using best match, everything is returning as ending soonest by default and the only option to select best match is by clicking the View All Results button at the bottom of the page.
I’ve reported this but just get told it’s working correctly and to run along and be a good seller and shut up.
I must say that i checked our devices both desktop and mobile and best match seems to be working correctly for our category.
