Brands are all using website ads, banner ads, video ads, social media ads to drive awareness of their product. What they really want you to do however, is to buy it. We’ve all seen TV adverts which end with a splash banner of places that stock their product, that’s what Swaven can do for you, but on the Internet instead of on the TV. The solution takes the form of a ‘buy button’ and when a user clicks on it, the solution automatically geolocalises them and shows a list of online and physical stores where the product is available nearby.
An example is the L’Or Expresso french video campaign to promote their Splendente coffee capsules. Across the top of the screen a banner a “Buy Now” (Acheter) button appears:
Clicking this button opens a screen offering local retailers where you can make a purchase:
There has been a lot of talk lately about shoppable content and shoppable videos, but up until now solutions have only ever directed consumers to a single retailer. That’s not so good if it’s either not my favourite retailer or if they happen to be out of stock.
With Swaven it’s different, the brand can show several stores (in an order they choose) so as to give more options to the consumer and also to drive traffic to physical stores in the local area. Of course the brand can also offer online store purchase as well if they wish.
Swaven is the only company today to be able to provide shoppable banners for multiple retail outlets on video and banner ads. The company was founded in 2012 and already have large international groups as clients, including L’Oréal, PUIG, Coty, Procter & Gamble, Philips, JDE, Henkel, Danone, Sony, SEB. If you’d like to find out more you can contact Swaven through their website.
