Amazon continues to expand and develop its Amazon Prime offering. Now, if you’re a UK subscriber you can opt to get 14 days to assess the goods before you pay. You can see the Amazon landing page here.
As it stands, there are only two items included in the trial. They’re both cameras and both are currently unavailable so it’s likely noone has had a chance to take part (or perhaps it has been astonishingly successful.)
On the product pages, you’ll see that they indicate that it’s part of the trial. As the blurb says: “Part of Try Now Buy Later. Try a sample product for up to 14 days in your home before you make your final decision. Choose one of the selected product samples, apply the code and try them for free. Available exclusively for Prime members. This offer is limited to one trial per customer.”
Obviously these are early days for this new scheme and it will be interesting to see how it develops. What will be interesting to see is how it incorporates third party sellers (if at all) in future. Plenty of questions will surround such a move. How will they deal with returns and disputes if items are returned damaged or incomplete. As a seller, would you get involved with such a scheme?
