Teams are already signing up for the 2017 annual Tamebay Ecommerce Cup which will be held in the Autumn this year on the 7th of September.
This year we’re moving from Wembley to a more upmarket venue in Shepherds Bush with FA qualified Referees, freshly laid astro turf, and a comfy new players lounge complete with screens for you to watch the games live in comfort. No need to rush off if you get knocked out early, stay for the complimentary drinks and nibbles while you watch the games and wait for the presentation ceremony for the eventual winners.
The format of the games will be the same as previous years – 5 a side but you can bring up to 5 reserves as it’s fast action and you’ll be playing plenty of games throughout the evening. Typically there have been 5 games for each team to play in the group rounds so you won’t get too many breaks before the quarters, semis and then if you’re still unbeaten, the final.
We’ve been asked many times if women can play and the answer is a resounding yes! Come and show the boys that they can’t have it all their own way whether it be an all girls team or as in previous years a mixed sex team.
In the past, most teams have turned up in their corporate kit which always look splendid in the team photos that we take. Don’t worry if you don’t have team kits though, so long as your players are all wearing the same colour tops that will be fine. No studded boots though, blades or trainers only as you’ll be playing on astro turf.
It’s not all about the football though, with the greatest and best of the ecommerce world attending it’s an opportunity to network with some of the biggest suppliers and marketplaces in the ecommerce world. Everyone is welcome to enter a team so long as you’re connected with ecommerce, whether you’re a marketplace, third party solution provider or a bone fide online retailer.
We’ll have more announcements over the coming months, but in the mean time register your team as there are limited places. The entry fee covers everything from the pitch and ref fees to the drinks and nibbles for up to ten players.
