We all know that shipping to Italy is tricky, especially if you use a carrier where the Italian postal service handles the end delivery but it’s a growing market with an expanding economy with buyers keen to source from overseas. That’s why ePrice with 2 million active customers is an interesting marketplace worth taking a look at.
Before you’re put off with the shipping, ePrice have a key partner in place enabling them to do end to end shipping with pick, pack delivery and importantly tracked! Selling on ePrice has been made as simple and painless as possible for UK sellers from the listing and translation to the shipping and fulfilment, plus their commission rates will be appealing relative to those charged by the dominant UK marketplaces.
Retailers that should be interested are Consumer Electronics, IT, Gaming, Home Appliances, Sports and any IoT (Internet of Things) devices.
ePrice is a well known respected brand in Italy, watch out video interview to find out how to get your English Language listings easily listed in Italian. If you’d like to sell on ePrice get in touch with [email protected] to get set up.

This is all well and good but in my view this is a bit like the ebay global shipping program, they offer a shipping solution to try and reduce barriers (in Italy’s case this is the dreadful postal serivce in Italy) but it fails to address a cost problem.
We can all send things with tracking to Italy through a number of carriers but the rates are nothing like as low as regular airmail. We can send to France or Germany for £1-1.50 but sending an item tracked will cost approximately £7-10 to Italy for a small item.
So really this is a non solution to the problem, all that they have done is partner with a courier or logisitics provider at fairly standard rates which we can all get through our own courier relations already.
The issue is that we cannot get a reliable service closer to the £1.50 price point and it is unlikely we ever will.
