Whistl have beefed up their execs with the hire of Jonathan Matchett, previously UK Managing Director of wnDirect. He has over two decades of experience working with major retail brands including ebay, Next, Tesco, DSG International and Marks & Spencer.
Jonathan’s new role will be to drive international growth at Whistl and, coming from wnDirect if anyone has the experience to do this then it’s him. wnDirect specialise in international cross-border delivery for ecommerce retailers and are renowned for delivering to the most difficult territories in the world (like Russia), cutting through customs red tape and border inspections even when most other carriers run into issues. Jonathan has a wealth of experience he can bring to bear at Whistl.
As well as his knowledge of international logistics, Jonathan’s key knowledge of retailer operations, both large high street names and smaller independent retailers, means he knows the issues retailers face on a daily basis and what’s needed to build solutions for the real world.
Currently at Tamebay we don’t hear a lot about for Whistl from our readers – either it’s a well kept secret or you simply aren’t signing up for their services in any large numbers yet. Is this because the service is wrong, the pricing is wrong, or that you simply prefer the services that other carrier partners can offer?
We’re all to well aware that online retailers use the solutions which offer the service you need at a price point which is affordable and if we’re not hearing you’re using Whistl it’s because currently one of those boxes isn’t being ticked.Hopefully Jonathan will be building product offerings that will appeal with services that make a real difference to your business.
