This week on Thursday evening (7th September) the fifth annual Tamebay Ecommerce Cup sponsored by The Post Office will taking place at a new venue in Shepherds Bush. In the past it has always been a hard fought contest, but this year with 32 teams the competition is fiercer than ever.
The format will be group stages with a Cup and a Shield to play for. The top 16 teams (1st and 2nd teams + 2 x best 3rd place teams) will go forward from the group stages to play for the Cup and the mid 8 teams (5 x 3rd place teams plus 3 x best 4th place) play for the Shield. The bottom 8 teams will be knocked out of the tournament after the groups but they’ll be able to watch the rest of the action from the comfort of the players lounge and get to the bar first!
If you’re team is registered to play you need to arrive at 4pm with the first round games kicking off at 4.30pm. With 32 teams it’s going to be a busy night with some of the biggest names in ecommerce playing for the trophy (spoiler alert… As this is our biggest tournament ever the trophy is similarly impressive, you’ll want to win this year!).
If you’re not playing but would like to come along to watch the fun, spectator tickets are still available at £13.25 which includes complimentary drinks.
