Last call for the Internet Retailing Conference 2017

The Internet Retailing Conference is coming up this week on Thursday 5th October at the Hammersmith Novotel in London. It’s a good event for anyone involved with online retailing and who wants to examine emerging trends and key an eye on industry innovation. You can find out more about the event here.

And there’s plenty going on during the day. A whole host of speakers will be sharing their pearls of wisdom and explaining how they have transformed their businesses using internet retailing.

Here are a few agenda items that leapt out of interest to me:

OK Google- What’s the Future for Retail?
This presentation will cover technologies that will be shaping the retail landscape over the years to come; what Google are focusing on in these areas and examples of retailers doing a good job in this space too. What are the key implications to retailers? The speaker is Alastair Sterling, Industry Head, Retail, Google.

Winning the Next Generation of Buyers & Understanding Millennial Trends
All retailers must have one eye on the next generation. Without a crystal ball it is no easy task to predict future buying trends and consumer behaviour, however, an attempt must be made nonetheless to understand how the market may develop. In this session our panel will discuss how their companies are preparing for the next generation of consumers and identify what they see as their priorities, in order for them to be catered for. That’s a Q&A withGiles Delafeld. Global CIO, Clarks.

Aside from the variety of talks, seminars and round tables there’s also the exhibition space with stacks of people who you may well want to talk to as you develop your business. You can find the exhibitor list here.

And don’t forget that the day in London also encompasses the eDelivery Conference, running concurrently with the Internet Retailing Conference. That element of the event will be focusing on delivery and fulfilment. To find out more, visit here.
