Today Tamebay are launching the DIY Ecommerce Guide – a living ebook which is designed to guide anyone who wants to be an online retailer through how to get set up. Our new Editor, Paul Skeldon has been busy preparing the launch and you can read more about Paul and his experience here.
The DIY Ecommerce Guide will cover everything from how you start and set up a website, how you take payments, go mobile, how to use marketplaces and shipping and logistics. It’ll expand to discuss marketing and promotions and how to get visitors converted into customers and then how to retain them and turn them into repeat buyers – All the things you need to get going.
The idea is that the DIY Ecommerce Guide will grow and expand with a new section from the ebook published and available for Tamebay members to download every fortnight. There will also be a new fortnightly newsletter for those who want to follow the journey, or of course you can dip in and out of the DIY Ecommerce Guide section of the website at any time you choose.
Over time Paul will reveal lessons from real retailers and detail how to build an ecommerce business from an idea to a £1m turnover business. This will build to become a regularly updated course comprising the eight sections of the DIY Ecommerce Guide: Getting started, Mobilise, Marketplaces, Promote, Deliver, Convert, Retain, and Expand, Selling and the Law. You can download the first section and browse the DIY Ecommerce Guide site today!
