BigCommerce and Visa have announced a new partnership to provide Visa Checkout to BigCommerce merchants, thus enabling 55,000 and more small and mid-market retailers to easily set up and accept the payment method on their branded websites.
This integration allows the more than 28 million accounts already enrolled in Visa Checkout to use pre-stored payment details and address information to complete a purchase on BigCommerce stores on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. More than 200 merchants received early access to Visa Checkout, and have added the payment option to their checkout pages already.
Sam Shrauger is the Senior Vice President of Digital Products at Visa and says: “Visa is thrilled to partner with BigCommerce to bring Visa Checkout to its network of retailers to make digital payments more streamlined than ever before. We are constantly looking for partners who also work towards our goal of convenient and secure payments, and BigCommerce’s commitment to empowering merchants to accept payments more rapidly is in lockstep with Visa’s vision for the future of ecommerce.”
One thing that is universally acknowledged is that the more payment options that merchants offer to shoppers, the better. It leads to greater conversion and better sales.
