We’re thrilled to announce that the sixth annual Ecommerce Cup will be held on the 21th of June this year and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever before. The event is so big that Tamebay will be joined by our sister publications InternetRetailing and eDelivery to host the event.
Last year we catered for a maximum of 32 teams and sadly were oversubscribed – There were so many players that the pre-match briefing had to be held on the pitch as there wasn’t room inside for everyone.
For the 2018 Ecommerce Cup we’ve booked the entire venue to enable us to expand the tournament to a maximum of 50 teams. If you’d like to play, book as soon as you’ve got a team confirmed as places will be allocated strictly on a first come first served basis.
With 50 teams the tournament is going to be spread over a longer period to give teams some recovery time before they are back on the pitch, so the first matches will kick off at 14.30pm and we expect to be able to present the eventual tournament winners with the coveted ecommerce trophy around 8pm that evening.
We are returning to Play Football in Shepherds Bush again this year, taking over the complete facilities for the day. Your team registration fee covers all venue hire, referees and prizes covering up to 7 people – 5 players and 2 subs.
There are full bar facilities onsite and teams will offered the chance to pre purchase discounted bar tokens and also food tokens a month before the event.
Tamebay, InternetRetailing and eDelivery staff and Editors will be present covering the matches, taking photos, writing up with the final scores and making sure you have a great day. We look forward to seeing you there.
