Each week we are releasing a new position paper, aiming to capture different news which crosses multiple marketplaces and channels and collate the news on the different subjects, to make it easier for you to find when it’s of interest. This week we turn our focus to search which has changed dramatically since the inception of the first Internet Search Engines and marketplaces.

You can have the best product in the world at the best price, but if no one can find your products online then they won’t be purchased. Search is now so much more than text input, with voice and image search and with new ways of shopping using technologies such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Virtual Assistants, online retailers need to rethink how they present their products in order to be found.

Getting the basics of keywords, titles and images right is the de facto standard but today there are many more factors that can influence if your products will be surfaced in search engines and marketplaces. In our Search Position Paper we explore how consumers’ behaviour is changing and what you need to do to succeed online.

You can read our Position Paper on Search online or download for free to read offline.
