Amazon A+ Enhanced Brand Content, was originally only available to those selling direct to Amazon Retail through Amazon Vendor Central. It now appears that Amazon are relaxing the requirements to include ‘Professional Sellers’, meaning that third party merchants selling on the Amazon marketplace can now opt to increase their brand profile on the marketplace.
Amazon A+ enables you to describe your product features in a different way by including a unique brand story, enhanced images and text placements. Adding Enhanced Brand Content to your product detail pages can result in higher conversion rates, increased traffic and increased sales when used effectively.
To use the Amazon A+ feature, you’ll need to register and be accepted as a brand owner through the Amazon Brand Registry. Naturally, you’ll only be able to add Enhanced Brand Content to products that are part of your approved brand catalogue.
The newest features being made available to merchants are: Comparison Chart; Single Image and Sidebar; Four Image Highlights; Single Image and Specs Detail; Single Image and Highlights and Image; and Light Text Overlay.
You’ll also be able to add image keywords (alt-text) when you upload images in Amazon A+ Enhanced Brand Content . As well as useful for customers using accessibility features, Amazon say that they image keywords also help your products appear in search.
There is a cost associated with Amazon A+ which varies according to the level of detail required.

US only I believe at the moment
Still no video though which is a shame
A+ and EBC (Enhanced Brand Content) are similar but not the same thing.
A+ is only for vendors selling direct to Amazon, EBC is for “brands” registered in the new Brand Registry. They both provide a richer product description with graphics etc. but work in different ways.
Hey, thanks for the info
