Amazon Prime Day 2018 not Amazon UK’s biggest shopping day?
We’re not sure that it was a record day in the UK however, as Amazon said “Prime Day 2018 was the busiest shopping event of the year so far on Amazon.co.uk with millions of items ordered” and didn’t specifically cite that it beat previous shopping events. It may well be that the overall Prime Day ‘biggest shopping event in Amazon history’ was due to the number of new countries who celebrated Prime Day for the first time.
“Prime Day was created to say thank you to our customers and has become an epic shopping event that Prime members in the UK look forward to each year. The event is now so popular with Prime members that Prime Day 2018 became Amazon’s busiest shopping event of the year so far here in the UK. Hundreds of small and medium-sized businesses also experienced success on Prime Day with some of our most popular deals purchased from sellers.”

We did good during the Prime week. Sales where up week before during the Prime week and slowed down on Friday.
The Prime day itself was a 3 fold increase in sales compared to “normal days” and that was partially due to few good Prime deals we had arranged prior, one of which was featured very high on the category home page.
Overall – Prime day is like mid-year Christmas for any Amazon FBA seller! 🙂
