eBay say that it’s important that buyers can easily find the right tyre for their vehicle on eBay and so provide the eBay tyre finder tool to help them with this. In order for your listings to be listed in the eBay tyre finder tool, you will now need to provide the following item specifics on new, revised and relisted tyre listings:
- Unit Quantity
- Tyre Width
- Aspect Ratio
- Rim Diameter
- Speed Rating
- Tyre fuel efficiency (A-G)
- Wet grip performance (A-G)
- External rolling noise (dB; class)
Good ‘Til Cancelled listings will continue to auto-renew but eBay strongly encourage you to update your listings. If you don’t, they become invisible to buyers who filter for listings and use eBay’s Tyre Finder Tool so you’ll get very few sales.
The intent according to eBay is that:
- Your items will be easier to find in search and tyre finders, helping boost your conversion.
- You may receive fewer returns as buyers are able to make more informed purchase decisions and are more likely to find the right tyre for their vehicle.
- You’ll be selling tyres on a competitive marketplace that meet your buyers’ expectations.
This is a change that was announced in the Summer eBay Seller Release and applies from the 31st of July 2018.
