Starting today, the 29th of November, and running until 23:59 on the 5th of December, customers shopping on Amazon UK can enjoy free standard delivery to the UK or Republic of Ireland on orders dispatched by Amazon. The Amazon FREEDELIVERY Week offer applies to millions of items with no minimum order amount so long as the product is either sold by Amazon or is from a third party merchant and Fulfilled by Amazon.
There’s only one catch, you need select the standard delivery option at check out and use promotional code FREEDELIVERY. If you don’t use the promo code then you’ll be charged for your shipment. If you’re an Amazon Prime customer then there’s nothing to do – you’ll get free one-day delivery anyway so can safely ignore the Amazon FREEDELIVERY Week.
With free Delivery, your order will typically be delivered 3-5 business days after all of your items are available to be dispatched.

Free delivery by Amazon is available 365 days a year by simply adding at least £10 of eligible books or £20 of other eligible items to your cart for UK delivery (£25 minimum order value for delivery to the Republic of Ireland). This Amazon FREEDELIVERY promotion means that you can forget about minimum order values and order anything shipped from Amazon with the exception of add-on items and have them delivered for free.

Great promo! Amazon obviously wants people to shop for Xmas gifts sooner to off-load the capacity right before the real action kicks in 2 weeks before Christmas.
I wonder why they ask for a coupon code though? As it would be nice if they would apply this by default. It’s hard to miss it of course as the information is clearly available on the home page BUT I can totally imagine situations when people don’t apply the coupon, place the order and right after that, they see that there was a free shipping promo. Then they will most likely cancel the original order and place a new one, with the free delivery coupon code applied. Doesn’t sound like a great customer experience to me, lol
