Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

No primary category set

As 2018 draws to a close it’s time to say Merry Christmas as the festive holiday gives online sellers a few days downtime after the busy fourth quarter. It’s also a time to reflect, start looking forward to 2019, and plan for the year ahead.

Whether you’re shutting down your operations for Christmas or staying open to take advantage of the ever busier Christmas day and Boxing day sales, hopefully you’ll at least be taking the bank holidays off and take time to relax with family and friends.

The editorial team at Tamebay will be taking a break over the Christmas period. Although we’ll be checking in from time to time we’ll be spending time with our friends and families with normal service to be resumed in January after the New Year bank holiday.

Here at Tamebay we are a mixed bag of religions and, recognise that this is also reflected in our readership… so whether you are celebrating a Christian Christmas, Jewish Hanukkah, Pagan Yule, Japanese Omisoka or simply enjoying a secular festival, we’d like to sincerely with you a very Merry Christmas and a very prosperous New Year.

Farewell to 2018

2018 has been a year full of uncertainty with world events and not least Brexit being top of the ecommerce agenda for discussion. We are still no closer to understanding what Brexit will bring both in the way of challenges and opportunities. However, notwithstanding potential customs and shipping hurdles, perhaps ecommerce is one area where technology both from marketplaces and third-party service providers can smooth the way, just as they already do make it simple to trade with the rest of the world outside the EU.

Tamebay Guide 2019

2019 will undoubtedly be a year of immense change in Europe regardless of the shape of Brexit and, with their reputation for agile nimbleness we have every expectation that ecommerce retailer will prosper. However, we know that new tools and resources will be needed and Tamebay are already compiling the Tamebay Guide 2019 – a compendium of tools and services on offer to the Ecommerce industry. If you are a supplier to ecommerce merchants please get in touch to be listed in the Tamebay Guide 2019, or if you have a favourite ecommerce tool let us know so that we can include it.
