Shopiago ecommerce software for Charities

No primary category set

Shopiago is a relatively new provider of ecommerce software to UK charity and used goods retailers. The product enables charities to sell donated and new items online quicker and easier and to make more sales at a higher selling price and at a lower cost. Shopiago’s “corporate” principles are to help charitable causes and save the planet by promoting recycling. For this reason, their tag line is “Shopiago – ecommerce for good.”

Shopiago connects to any combination of eBay, Amazon, Etsy and webstores and enables charities to sell online anywhere and everywhere using a single set of tools. It helps them search for, identify, value and list donated goods to any sales destination using keyword, barcode and image-recognition-based search in just a few minutes then manages all of their stock, orders and messages from every destination, all in one place.

Shopiago has been designed for users who are not tech-savvy and it takes just five minutes to set up and is quick and easy to use. It includes integrated messaging tools ensure that users have access to expert help whenever they need it.

To make costs simple for Charities, there are no monthly fees – simply a 5% commission on sales so charities know exactly what to budget and will only pay for successful sales.

The solution is perfectly suited to the busy environment of a charity shop. Time is a precious commodity so time-saving and efficiency are essential. And with a diverse, largely volunteer workforce, any software designed to help a charity shop get online needs to be even easier to use than eBay itself. With Shopiago literally anyone can be researching, valuing and listing donated items in minutes.

The software was only released in the last quarter of 2018, but has been in beta testing for a while. So far the two largest charity retailers – British Heart Foundation and Barnardo’s are using the software to list thousands of items a week and they are to begin trials with a number of other charities including Sue Ryder and Oxfam this year.

“I’m really excited about Shopiago and thrilled to be working with charities and giving something back. Take a look at shopiago.com
