AliExpress see a Turkish merchant expand their offering to 90 countries

AliExpress, an online marketplace of Alibaba saw a Turkish merchant expand their offering to 90 countries.

AliExpress saw Turkish small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) reach the global arena. One of the largest Turkish fashion brands, Trendyol which recently started selling on the marketplace saw an international demand for their products. In a few days after setting up the business, Trendyol sold to more than 90 markets and regions across all continents except Antarctica. Russia ranked at number one place with the volume of orders, followed by Israel.

The shop saw sweaters, light coats and blouses as best sellers amongst Israeli consumers. The most expensive order was $120 (£93) worth of 6 pieces of goods.

The first sales results confirm our customers’ interest in new products – Israelis have an established demand for Turkish brands. The success of small and medium Turkish manufacturers shows the direction in which we will be able to expand our range and find how we will work with sellers from different countries.”

The news suggests that AliExpress present growth opportunities for merchants of all sizes. The marketplace are currently the biggest one in China in terms of size and demand, which reinforces their position as a trusted partner for sellers who wish to move beyond their base and expand their presence in East Asia
